I sincerely thank all of those who supported SEE Renewal in 2022. I look forward to continuing
to work with partners and clients – both old and new – in 2023!

This has been an amazing and busy year at SEE Renewal. At SEE Renewal, I had the opportunity
to work with exceptional intermediary organizations providing technical assistance and serving
as a training instructor and conference speaker. Other projects this year included completing
the Annette Islands Reserve Integrated Resources Management Plan for the Metlakatla Indian
Community. We also facilitated an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Strategy Session and
developed a subsequent Strategy Report for the Hopi Tribe. Additional projects included
completing the Pawnee Nation Infrastructure Plan, the Hoopa Valley Tribe Land Use Plan, and
the Paiute Comprehensive Economic Development Plan. We also worked on a complex water
project involving water rights on Indian lands this year. Finally, I’m thrilled to formally announce
that SEE Renewal landed at its permanent home – a beautiful office in Ruidoso, New Mexico –
in November.

I am extremely excited about all that is on the horizon for SEE Renewal in 2023. I am looking
forward to utilizing SEE Renewal’s new facility to lead onsite training classes for Tribal planning
staff and taking advantage of the Mescalero Apache Tribe’s Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort
and Casino on the Mescalero Apache Reservation in beautiful Mescalero, New Mexico to host
and lead Tribal retreats.

In addition to facilitating training sessions and tribal retreats in New Mexico, I’m looking
forward to leading upcoming planning sessions for Tribal clients onsite at their Tribal
headquarters. Other exciting work planned for 2023 includes attending the upcoming Tribal
Land Staff National Conference both as a vendor and speaker this March at the Pechanga
Resort Casino in Southern California. With respect to upcoming projects, SEE Renewal has a
range of planning projects, implementation, and private-sector projects lined out involving land
use, natural resource management, climate change, energy development, and economic
development in Indian Country.

Other plans for 2023 include hiring additional contractors, consultants, and employees to serve
in various capacities. Please watch out for our recruitment campaign in early 2023, where I will
be looking to bring on talented and dedicated individuals from various disciplines to contribute
to exciting and complex projects.

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, and successful 2023!
